No, Peter hasn't changed his day job. He is joining Don Imus Friday, May, 9 2008 on 77 WABC radio for the annual Radio-thon to Benefit the Tomorrows Children's Fund, the CJ Foundation for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and the Imus Ranch. Since 1994 it has been a tradition for Berry Industrial Group, Inc. during the holiday season to make a donation to a children's charity, in honor of its customers and suppliers. When it came time to find a charity, we were drawn to the CJ Foundation for SID for two reasons. One because Peter was an ardent Sports fan and listened to Don Imus on the radio but more importantly because Debra Berry's mother had lost a child to SIDS over 50 years ago. At the time the doctors had no information to offer the grieving families. As with the loss of any child, the families were devastated, in part because of the unknown. When a close friend of Don Imus lost a child to SIDS, with WFAN's support, Don started raising money for the foundation they created. The foundations mission was simple: raise funds for SIDS medical research; support organizations offering bereavement, counseling and other support services for SIDS families across the country; and conduct a comprehensive, nationwide campaign to educate the public about the steps to reduce the risk of SIDS. The CJ Foundation for SIDS has been successful in all these endeavors. Don Imus took his fund raising a step further and included the Tomorrow's Children's Fund. This organization focusing on helping families that have children with cancer. The success of Radio-thon has made us proud to be a part of such a selfless organization. We thank our customers and suppliers for all their encouragement and support of this holiday gesture.
